Valentine's Clay Day

Love in clay...

Each heart is original
with its texture and glaze combination.

Lent Possibilities

For Lent this year
I am going to do my best
at trying to change my mind set...

Trying to stop saying or thinking this phrase:
"I don't have time"

Please go ahead and laugh.
I am laughing (a little) too!

I am going to try my hardest to
believe:

I DO have time!

Time for what you might ask?

Not sure yet, but
I feel like I say it way too much to myself.

Sure, things get done
BUT
I know I can be better with my time management skills
and monitor my daily activities even better.

To honor this new way of thinking
I will draw something everyday until Easter
and share it with you.

Could I fail?  Sure
Could I learn from this experience?  Of course, no matter the failure or success!

Want to join me?

Here is a downloadable PDF of  a few heart cards and my card for day one-
"I do have time!"

Print it off
and take a minute or so to color or doodle around the edges.

You just thought it didn't you...
"I dont have time for that!"

I know, I know.
But we are living now
and these days are quickly passing.
We have to find the time.

Ash Wednesday

Ash Wednesday
is to me...

A ritual, time for prayer, time for reflection
and a reminder to live life to the fullest,
just to name a few.

Ashes on my forehand

...For dust you are and dust you will return.

I pray that I embrace Lent with fervor like never before

Cross Making 101

This week's Cross Making class ~

Just a few cereal and cracker boxes, ric rack and glue!

I enjoy using pantry boxes in my work,
see an example here.

Due to time restraints, I have them ready
for the kids to cut out.

Feeling the love....
so many supporters of my class have donated
awesome supplies like these ribbons and ric rack!
Thank you!!!

And the very hairs on your head are all numbered.
Matthew 10:30

This verse reminds me time and time again
how significant I am to God-
the creator of this beautiful universe.

A thought I cannot wrap my linear head around...
all that love....

The kids really enjoyed this project.

We ended up needing 2 weeks on some to finish.
Which is a good sign to me~
the kids care and are really getting into creating their cross.

The directions were~

Step 1:  Cut out cross
Step 2:  Choose ribbon or ric rack, cut pieces and glue onto cross in a pattern.
Step 3:  Choose a word or words to represent Christ.

Words or phrases discussed and/or used:

Christ
God
He loves
Gracious
Grace
Christian
He lives
Love

Action pics~

My example:
He cares

Thankful for being reminded how much I matter to
the Divine on this artist holiday,
hannah
